Domaine de Marcoux 2022 Cote Du Rhone Rouge

The 2022 Domaine de Marcoux Côtes du Rhône Rouge is a biodynamically crafted red wine that reflects the estate’s commitment to organic viticulture and traditional winemaking practices. Sourced from two small parcels near Orange—Maucoil, planted in the 1930s, and Boislauzon, planted in 1965—this wine is a blend of 80% Grenache, with the remaining 20% comprising Syrah, Mourvèdre, and a touch of Cinsault. The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and fermented with native yeasts in concrete tanks, followed by aging in the same vessels for about 10 months.

On the palate, the wine offers a rich and balanced structure, featuring notes of blackcurrant, spices, and a hint of herbs and earth. It is characterized by its powerful yet elegant profile, with intense minerality and lively energy. This Côtes du Rhône pairs well with lamb dishes and grilled vegetables, making it a versatile choice for various meals.
