Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2015 is a radiant tribute to Madame Clicquot’s pioneering spirit—an elegant, mineral-driven prestige cuvée that showcases the House’s mastery of Pinot Noir. Refined, complex, and luminous, it’s a Champagne that balances power with poise, crafted for true connoisseurs of vintage excellence.
Origins & Craftsmanship
First released in 1972 as an homage to Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin—the “Grande Dame of Champagne”—this cuvée represents the pinnacle of Veuve Clicquot’s winemaking. The 2015 vintage is composed of roughly 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, sourced primarily from Veuve’s historic Grand Cru vineyards in Aÿ, Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Avize. A warm, generous growing season produced grapes of exceptional ripeness and depth. Aged for nearly a decade in Veuve’s chalk cellars in Reims, the wine achieves remarkable finesse and balance, embodying the terroir’s energy and Madame Clicquot’s relentless pursuit of quality.

“La Grande Dame 2015 is an exceptional sunny vintage for a wine full of tension and elegance. It reveals this great wine’s verticality thanks to the Pinot Noirs harvested from our historical Grands Crus”. – Didier Mariotti, Veuve Clicquot Cellar Master
